Samsung adds AI graphics tech to Exynos 2600 chip - 네이트

Samsung Electronics said Tuesday it has commercialized its in-house artificial intelligence-based graphics optimization technology for the first time in its mobile application processor Exynos 2600. The company said its AI graphics software, Exynos Neural Super Sampling (ENSS), will be applied to the new chip. ENSS combines neural super sampling (NSS), which reconstructs low-resolution images into high-quality visuals, and neural frame generation (NFG), which predicts and generates intermediate frames. By leveraging these technologies, Samsung said it reduced the computational burden on the graphics processing unit while improving power efficiency, enabling smoother visuals even in complex scenes and faster camera transitions. Benchmark results also indicate improved performance. According to recently released data, the Exynos 2600 posted about 15 percent higher graphics performance than rival chips. In particular, its Ray Tracing capability — which tracks light reflections, refractions and transmissions to render realistic images — ranked first on the Basemark‘s Powerboard, a major GPU benchmarking platform.
