Hanyang University ERICA Innovation Center for Engineering Education(Lee Song-jun as Director) announced that it successfully held the ‘2025 Intelligent Robot Consortium Festival’ on November 7 at the ERICA Center on campus. This event was part of the ‘Creative-Convergent Engineering Talent Nurturing Support Project,’ sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology(KIAT), and jointly involved the Innovation Centers for Engineering Education at the organizing university, Hanyang University ERICA, along with Kwangwoon University, Dankook University, and Soongsil University. The four-university consortium was organized under the goal of 'nurturing creative-convergent engineering talent who lead intelligent robot-based technology.' The consortium operated various programs to share educational achievements and enhance students' creative problem-solving capabilities through inter-university cooperations. This festival was designed to showcase these achievements. The event featured the preliminary rounds for the '2025 Creative Comprehensive Design Competition' (scheduled on November 25th), along with the Intelligent Robot Consortium Preliminary Competition, the IRC4U Speech Contest, and various hands-on activities for attendees. A total of 12 teams participated in the Creative Comprehensive Design preliminary, where they demonstrated problem-solving abilities based on their major knowledge and presented their ideas. The Grand Prize was awarded to Soongsil University's 'Ending Fairy' team for their project on 'AI-based Emergency Evacuation Optimization Service for Large-Scale Concert Venues.' Following this, the IRC4U Speech Contest featured six teams presenting on themes relevant to the intelligent robot consortium, such as: ‘The Dream Society Coexisting with Robots in Minds of Engineering Students,’ ‘Utilization of Generative A.I.,’ and ‘Sustainable Future for Engineering Students: Path to Achieving SDGs.’ The Grand Prize went to Oh Joon-seo from Kwangwoon University, who presented on the topic 'Sustainable Future for Engineering Students: Path to Achieving SDGs.' Lee Song-jun, Director of the Hanyang University ERICA Innovation Center for Engineering Education, stated, "This festival was organized to motivate students to experiment with their capabilities in creative design based on their major knowledge and grow into convergent talents to meet industrial demands.
